Sand Sucked Out Around Feet: Wave Sand Islands Poem by Terence George Craddock

Sand Sucked Out Around Feet: Wave Sand Islands

Rating: 5.0

racing the incoming
tide watching the waves
laughing as waves wash
in up down a sandy beach

washing around happy fun
loving bare feet as water
rushes up around wet ankles
white foam black sand stirring

waves retreating waves
sucked back into sea tide
sucks out sand around feet

waves merging back into waves
leaving us standing on sand islands
before next waves undermine us
