Sanity Poem by Faleesha Bell

Sanity

Whispers of my sanity blowing in the breeze,
Running from my heart, ignoring my pleas.
Questioning my mind, my heart, my soul,
Emptying out my dark, deep hole.
Trying to find the answers to life,
To help with the pain, the hurt and the strife.
Picking up the pieces and putting them in place.
Finding the hope to not be a disgrace.
Fighting so hard to be a good mom and wife.
Trying to keep my soul from needing the knife.
Holding on tight to what God has given me.
Thanking him every day for the good I see.
Grasping the dark for sanity out of sight.
Not going to give up, keeping up the fight.
Reaching out for what’s blowing in the breeze.
Searching for the sanity to answer my pleas.
