Waiting in the long line
Excited as the kids in front of me
Hoping to see the jolly ole fellow
Been asking for this love for a long time
Maybe this will be the year
Maybe not
I will be asking him anyway
He may come through, He just may
The older I get, the harder it gets
But I know I have to go
Ask him one more time
Because I believehe can
Bring this special gift to me
I still do believe
Santa, I do believe in you
The Bike, the toysall came from you
The presents under the tree said so
Not there the night before
But there on Christmas day
Shining and wrapped so beautifully
But year after no such luck
The closer I get
The more nervous I get
Sweating and the butterflies a flowing
Almost there, very close
The kids staring and laughing at me
They can believe I am there
Waiting so, excite to see Santa Claus
Yes, Santa Claus
I need to ask him for this one gift
The love of my life
I know he will tell me
I was good and he will see
That I will get my gift
Sitting on Santa's lap
Asking him for a precious gift
Soft, Beautiful, wonderful mate
Gorgeous as the sunshine
Intelligent as a teacher
Funny as a clown
Sweet aschocolate
He looks at me in the eyes
And said to me
My son, you'll find her
She'll be there
Right before your eyes
An angel from heaven
Surprised you'll be
The one for you
So dear to you
Right there all the time
She has been waiting for you
Blinded by love
Lost in confusion
She is always there for you
Go to her my son
Santa told me
And there you were
Angel in the sky
The sun shining down on you
So beautiful, so lovely
Man was I blind
For Santa was right
You were always there
Love may be blind
But Santa knew
He always knew
How good you were to me
He told me how to find you
And there you were
The love I hope he helps me find
