Sapphire Skies Poem by Lisa Doesburg

Sapphire Skies

Rainbow bright against dark sky.
Brilliant colors arcing high.
Storm clouds clash with sun’s bright rays,
light is splintered, skies ablaze.

Sapphire skies squeeze drops of rain,
entwine soft, fragile fibers flame.
Colors paint the sky with tears,
whispered raindrops till clouds clear.

Teal blue sky as rainbow fades,
laughing at it’s soft charades.
Chasing colors through the clouds,
as summer rains on fields abound.

Rainbow hides behind dark skies,
waiting for the sun to shine,
it’s rays between and underneath,
fragmented in it’s summer sheath.
