Saturday Night Poem by Juan Olivarez

Saturday Night

I'll take a shower, it's saturday night,
Then we'll go dancing till early light.
Have a few cold ones, that's ok too,
Out on the dance floor, just me and you.

We'll wear the leather, off of our soles,
Wouldn't trade saturday night, for glittering gold.
We'll be dancing away, welcoming the dawn,
Wind up face down on you daddy's lawn.
