Savior Poem by Nick KingBriggs

Savior

Rating: 5.0

From the window burst the light
to smother the war the hate and the blight
Forgiveness paid to the good
forgiveness paid to the misunderstood

The window now a beacon of hope
to help cope
With the fear and tragedy
of what happened with out the
Lets begin the process of healing
to stitch up the wrung out and tired feeling
Put back to get the pieces
flatten out the creases

Now you have returned to we three
to cover us away from the evil like the shade of a tree
Let the weights fall
I can hear the lighthouse call
Its time to leave this god forsaken hell hole
douse the flames and kill the coal
It’s time to leave
fly away, dream, find, and believe
