Day by day,
Step by step,
It will get easier
Loving family,
By blood and choice
Moral support
Shoulders to cry on,
Hugs freely given
Hands to hold on to,
So you can let go

Memories alive,
Memories stay
Good times and Bad,
Smiles and funny faces
Cakes of every flavor,
Fudge to kill for
Slow acceptance of change
Unnerving anger but always there,
No matter what

Time for rest,
Time for sleep
Long and fruitful life
