Scene Of The Crime Poem by Alfred Ramos

Scene Of The Crime

Your dark pearl eyes
Can take a moment’s demise
And choke it till it cries
But you haven’t seen nothing yet
A mysterious mosaic you will not forget
Like puzzle pieces floating in a river of regret
In a sequence so sublime
You were seen leaving the scene of the crime
Your smile wide as an ocean
Catching glances in a battle of emotion
But if you are looking for a guarantee
Don’t look at me
In my travels
I’ve seen how a lie unravels
Twisting words out of rhyme
You were seen leaving the scene of the crime
Distortions, contortions of many proportions
So please, don’t spread any disease
No falling off your trapeze
What is left to squeeze
False hope
Can’t cope
At the end of a burning rope
So please, no bended knees
No prayer will put you at ease
You’ve thrown away the keys
Your world of dreamy thoughts
Are trying to pull me under with all the have nots
You’ve taken more than the Lord allots
You can’t put if off for another time
You were seen leaving the scene of the crime
Yes you are guilty of crimes of the heart
Piece by piece you tore mine apart
Pretending to be something you know nothing about
Salvation will not save you, of that there is no doubt
It’s dark hole from which you cannot climb
Your were seen leaving the scene of the crime
