Dan Hall

Scorched Skin - Poem by Dan Hall

Dead heat burns the summer air
Scorched skin, another scar to bear
Pressed to step into the day
Feeling lost in this sick play

The road burns, blisters my feet
Path is defined but lined with deceit
Walking into the soul of the fire
Flames consume sinful desire
