Scotland Poem by chris dawson

Scotland

Rating: 5.0

I have to live in Scotland
Circumstances so dictate
It’s nought to do with choices
It’s nought to do with fate
Kith and kin think I’m insane
To pack and travel north
Beyond the wall of Hadrian
And far across the Forth
For just one week of sunshine
In a year of rain and storm
Yes, the weather may be harsh and cold
But the people keep me warm.
