Scream In An Empty Jar Poem by alexandros filippakis

Scream In An Empty Jar

Revengeful mind
that in heaven dwells
you gave us hope
that like ice it melts

The love you taught us
has never bloomed
a miserable seed
and a harvest doomed

You gave colors
to our blind eyes
wings to birds
too weak to fly

You granted us eternity
a meaningless lie
only a cheap joke
as the moments die

Shepherd God of revenge
I'll no more follow you
first I was a sheep
I've turned into a wolf
