Sea Gull Poem by DILIPBHASKER MATHRA

Sea Gull

Rating: 3.5

Beside the un-trodden creek
Looking on the spraying waves
For a fish perhaps stumbles
Over the rock sits a sea gull.

Its white feathers congested
To the slender breast.
Thin black leg, grizzled neck
In the scarlet eyes, thin coated film.

Hunger emaciated stomach
Crouched limbs vibrating frequently
To check the balance of flight
To far untravelled Isles.

Stimulating and delinquent cry
To grab the prey from the spray
Eyes focused in the blue water
To minimize the impatient wait.

No irrational desire to amass
Unlimited wealth for generation
And no egotic crazes for power
Your mind is pure with tranquil restoration.

Bird, you are not an offender
Against nature like the human beings
To survive here oft you hunt
But to satisfy our greed, we hunt.
