Sea Harvest Poem by Charlotte Peters Rock

Sea Harvest

On the borders of Namibia
Atlantic rollers batter shifting dune
belly-creeping to the water's edge
swept out on the tide and back

Limpid seal washed in by the wave
lies beached as paired coyotes hunt
together searching from the ridge
slalom to investigate the food

Spume fingering sharpened eyes
they circle watching jetsam
tighter tighter moving in
reflected in its shining pools
