Poet's Notes about The Poem

Some people spend so much time worrying about the future or living in the past that they forget to just 'be'...to live in the present moment..always searching for happiness externally, when it can truly only be achieved internally...

I know this thing I'm searching for
    Has always been right here
    It lives inside of me
But I've been too blind to see
    Is this life's grand illusion..............
.quest ruffles in room of reason within.
heart yet need not be befuddled as when dappled, and you are right absolutely by your own experiences,
child when born cries deep, may be, life persists to pursue all through journey onto its last dregs breath to decipher its mystery of its quest, probably he gets his all answers at his breath finale, i really love the simplicity of expression and by diction too, thanks for sharing. y time has now passed
    All hope is gone...lost...
    Happiness eludes me
    Grief exudes from me
    There is nothing left inside
I am just this empty shell... And your reliazation that what i was searching was inside me is a very good recognition of the inwardness. like your poem very much. you bring in points which normally many do not think. thank you. tony (Report) Reply

Great write about introspection. It is certainly important to find peace if you want to be happy. Meditation helps. (Report) Reply

True.. the notion of how to live a life has been wrongly understood by many and only when we begin to find joy with little and small things, our real sense of fulfillment can be reached.
Thank you OM Homegrown for this beautiful write. (Report) Reply
