Searching Time And Space, I Find Poem by Marcus McKinley

Searching Time And Space, I Find

Is there love beyond the sky
Beyond the pouring rains the dark clouds cry
Beyond the misty fog that leaves me blind
Searching for what I have yet to find

Is there love, beyond the stars
Or below the leaves of maple trees
Or in the eyes staring at skies
Dreaming of possibilities

Tell me sun, Why do you shine?
In the golden eras of your time
Spreading warmth in disguise
Burning hearts and blinding eyes

With my hope, I will pierce the clouds
And, with my voice, I will shake the trees
Clearing a path to heaven’s gate
To secure a view on bended knee

I have come to see your pretty face, my angel
And catch, a kiss, to help my heart persist
Although you might not think it so
It is your beauty, I can’t resist

Radiate your light in brilliancy
Fill my eyes with clarity
Hear these words I say so true
I dedicate my love to you
