Seasons Of The Year Poem by Rachel Blank

Seasons Of The Year

Those dainty little daisies
Dancing with the wind
The green water lilies
In the warm waters of the pond

But soon it will be summer
And children will play in the water
And little boys will pick the daisies
For the girls they gaze at

Then it will be fall
You will watch the amber leaves in awe
While the elderly are weak and dying
But you can’t do anything but sigh

And finally, its winter, cold and brittle
Within the haze is a freezing blaze
And all those once beautiful flowers
Die peacefully
