Secret Keeper Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Secret Keeper

When you have a secret that you never want told…
Do you confide in a friend and ask them to hold?
Being able to unload your burden is a great big relief.
Your dear friend feels like you are a conscience thief.

They say that they understand and are glad to listen…
They are always there for you but something is missin’.
They carry the weight and there is no one they can tell.
The words keep ringing in their head, like a mute bell.

Been in that position a few times myself. You said it perfectly. Nicely written. :)
