Secret Love Of Moon And Sun.. Poem by Rick Adriolo

Secret Love Of Moon And Sun..

Rating: 5.0

When the Sun starts to set,
And the light starts to forget,
What darkness will take,
When the light puts all at stake..

The Moon will forever weep,
For the Sun uses night to sleep,
As born from the same but on a different side,
One lives by day and the other lives by night..

For what will forever be apart,
When born with a different heart,
As they fight for upper and nether,
they fight for day and night but will never be together..

You have found an interesting way to describe something that we often don't think of; the sun never being able to share life with the moon. Yet they meet but for a few brief moments, one saying goodbye to the other. It reminds me of the movie Ladyhawk with Michelle Pheiffer and Rudger Haurer (I don't know if I spelled his name right) where she is a Hawk during the day and he is a wolf by night; the result of a curse by the Bishop. For just a few moments they can see one another as humans. It's one of my favorite films. I loved the poem Rick. Keep writing my friend. Be well, Victoria
