Secret Shows Poem by keith murray

Secret Shows

How I love to rig the counterpane
every night before I sleep,
embark upon that journey
to where I'll never weep.
To where the slopes of fortune
slide me down to peace,
that quiet village of the mind,
the place I'd like to keep.
