Secrets Poem by Joi Johnson

Secrets

Rating: 4.0

My feet, not yet perfect, address the floor
They speak in terms of points and turned out toes
With every step and turn they do implore
The floor to tell the secrets that it knows
For many here before have shared their dreams
Opened their hearts and left part of their souls
If through my feet these secrets i can glean
Then perhaps i could reach some of my goals
But if instead i look inside my heart
I might just find all i need is right there
Ive had passion and fire from the start
I just need to let go, my soul ill bare
Perfection i will put out of my sight
Instead ill let you see my inner light
