Self Doubt Poem by Rick Elpers

Self Doubt

I'm wondering the path
that I've embarked upon
twisted and narrow
is worth the sacrifice

That wrenches my heart
befuddles the mind
creates this canyon
that may never be filled

The lack of self security
pains me to realize
that this earth possibly
won't yield to life companionship

My god my lord my creator
waits for my treading
to reach a point
where I'll be ready for her

Am I enough for him
Am I enough for her
Am I enough at all
Am I enough at all
