Self- Harm Addiction Poem by Brooke MacLay

Self- Harm Addiction

Rating: 4.5

I was covered in insecurities
Now I'm covered in scars
From my shoulders down small white lines are seen

'it's from my cat', i say
But i never owned a cat

You try to stop,
But the blades call your name
Begging
Pleading
Wanting you to hurt yourself one more time

You give in
You say this is the last time
You say you will never cut again
What a lie that is
The blades will continue to call
That is until you are dead
