Self-Sabotaging Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Self-Sabotaging

A self-sabotaging committed,
Has to be witnessed in its effect,
To be believed.

There are those who will go to great lengths,
To destroy themselves...
By defaming those who help 'them',
Because those who do this...
Might get an attention.

A jealousy that is harbored,
Prevents their own success.
So a lieing is done,
To chase away good intentions...
Of those who come that have them.

And needless to say...
Environments like this,
Are not rare! Just brimming with ignorance.
