An experiment that turned into an addiction is selfie
Nowadays there is a viral of selfie
Everyone anyone anywhere taking selfie
No matter where they are, they are just taking selfie
Top ten buzzwords from some years is selfie
In the space astrounauts are taking selfie
With the shark in the oceano capturing selfie
With their dog and cat people are taking selfie
With the tornado some are taking selfie
Half shaved and bathed taking selfie
In the party making pout taking selfie
Half slept with half opened eyes taking selfie
With the flowing nose taking selfie
With the chicken pox taking selfie
While crying giving a pause capturing selfie
Good for the memories is selfie
Capturing special moment in selfie
Treasure of moments is selfie

Not only the youngsters have a craving for selfie

It's a beautiful take on the growing addiction.. Reminds me f a recent events whr a couple took a selfie with d burning burj Khalifa building Well penned Abhilasha :)

I liked the idea behind your poem, and I am sure you have read either an article or wikipedia to get details about the 'history' of selfie.. The American Psychiatric Association has indeed not really listed it as a mental disorder though, selfie addiction can be seen rather as one of signs of a person with high narcissm.. The 'selfist' thing was a hoax created by Adobo Chronicles - a satire site that writes 'fake' news! ! ! ____ Now a few things- * The past participle of 'spread' is 'spread'.. It is an irregular verb.. * In the line- 'No matters where they are, they are just taking selfie' It should be 'no matter', not 'matters'... * In the lines - 'The greatest addition nowadays is of selfie' 'addition' or 'addiction'? ? ? Both can work, I guess with different meaning to the lines... * The lines - 'The new model of smartphone have the named prefix and suffix with selfie' There are a couple of things, a) 'smartphone' or 'smartphones'? ? You are talking about all 'smartphones' and not just one, right? ? b) It would be better if you used the 'prefix' and 'suffix' as verbs.. So the line should be - 'The new models of smartphones have the name prefixed and suffixed with selfie' In my limited knowledge, I feel you should make these essential changes to the poem, to 'fix' it.. The thought is noble Abhilasha, the execution naïve.. Fix the execution and you have a wonderful poet, even in English, within you: -)
