Selflessness Poem by Jayatissa K. Liyanage

Selflessness

Rating: 4.5

The tree, having come to this world
Did everything possible to come up undeterred
Did everything possible to bear the best fruits, it could
Did everything possible to dispose of them all
Keeping nothing
Claiming nothing
Unto itself

Laudable lesson learnt from a tree. Well done my friend. If we humans would be more like trees the world would be a much more beautiful place.
