Send Me A Note And Let Me Know You'Re Alright Poem by Ted Sheridan

Send Me A Note And Let Me Know You'Re Alright

Rating: 5.0

Of late___
The sunshine has been in limited supply
seems the rain is mostly forecast
Even the Vodka has lost its appeal to me
for I am struggling and can't consume
enough to keep my mind from drowning....
Your poetry is all there is remaining of you
for my lonely grieving heart and hands to touch
and even that is not enough
to prevent my feeling the darkness
as It calls to me daily
from just the other side of the door....
You entered there two years ago
and left me here alone___

It's very hard when we lose touch with someone very close to us (possibly in tha same room even) ...I hope you find the key to open that door. Hugs, Dee

Captivating! From the beginning, I have already been immersed in its beautiful title. I like the theme and how you started and ended the poem. It is filled with melancholy and dread, like how the sun gets dimmer everyday after her leaving, almost like your blood is slowly draining away from your heart. Beautiful.
