Send Me Sunshine... Poem by Junepaulette GasrelTibbetts

Send Me Sunshine...

The seasons are changing...
Like my life,
Rearranging...
Time opens, a new door-
A new choice, to inspire...
The winter of my soul has passed.
The deadness
The harsh winds of bitterness.
I convince -
To be let loose
To follow another...
No longer,
My partner of time.
I call to the transition
to allow my sight-
(my only hidden pleasure)
Of finding yellow roses,
greeting me
At the window of my world...

Amid the young acorn leaves,
the carefree dance of butterflies.
Theres' something more-
to this old life...

Sweet 'mantle' of the winds,
Caress me- like,
what I wondered...
Would be the gentleness of touch,
if any could be found...
I wonder,
If God is even there?
Or has He forsaken me too?
In the presence of my ever 'deaf' world...
Send me,
Sunshine...
So the teardrops
will cease...
