Sense Of Fear Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Sense Of Fear

Rating: 5.0

It gives sense of fear
When you all of sudden bear
Some kind of shock
Either in dream or at the place of work

I was taken back
When found life of wife at stake
She was breathing her last
I was loosing my beats very fast

I was taken to sound sleep
That day it was busy schedule to keep
I could not ask wife how she was doing
She was fast asleep and I thought of not boring her

In sound sleep I heard as if someone was knocking
“Open, open” Son was hitting hard on door and calling
I got up suddenly and rushed to the scene
Wife was lying on ground and no movement was seen

The relatives had started flocking home
I had no sense to look at them and welcome
As tragedy had taken me over by complete surprise
I felt too bad that her body would be taken for cremation by sunrise

Many were trying to calm me down
Many faces were totally unknown
I saw her face last time and was about to loose sense
Suddenly I woke up to find my self off the ground and so tense
