Sense Of Life Poem by Richard Cowan Burton

Sense Of Life

Rating: 5.0

Poetic forms counterbalance an oval face
Winged chair balanced her body's sharp angels
Ballet embrace harmonized my grace
Close my eyes to her human intoxication

Poetic forms possess the moments
Solitary words carried human freight
Ballet embrace harmonized my gaze
I could not close my eyes to her opulence

I wanted to lift the skirt of blackness
Shed our dispositions, dismantle our guards
Paint sexual words upon our naked bodies
I could not advert my incessant gaze

Oval face floats beyond the the hollows of a chair
Splintered across my mind like rain
Elegance ran through her rivers
Beauty ran through our wide spaces
