Separate In This World Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Separate In This World

Sliding across pathways of sorrow, looking and
searching for you.

Knowing that you're gone from this life, yet I
insist on trying to find you in places where
we used to go.

Finding that you are nowhere I expect to find
you, heart losing hope exponentially.

Wandering earth, dejected and forlorn, wanting
you only.

Tears falling, there's no stopping them, this
heart has fallen to the ground, bursting, bleed-
ing from the pain of losing you, my love.

Being here for you, hoping to see you again, yet
never do you appear, life has left you and I alone,
separated in this world.

As I lie in a bed of sorrow and grief, giving self
into the resignation that you're never coming back to
me again, my dear.
