Separate To Elevate

Through life we must negotiate
The mount of God to scale
Who’ll separate to elevate
Who’ll flee their self-made jail

Who’ll seize the option Heaven gives
Receive their Saviour’s love
Who’ll seek their strength through He who lives
And fight their way above

Regardless what your neighbours do
What friends and family say
Recall why Jesus died for you
And why He calls today

He’s calling you He’s calling me
His arms are open wide
He’s breaking chains to set us free
To be His chosen bride

Watch close our God when storms abound
Watch Jesus’ mighty hand
Look up and feel His arms surround
And try to understand

He knows our ins our downs and outs
He knows our in-betweens
He knows when children doubt their doubts
When darkness intervenes

Reach out and touch The Morning Star
Receive your soul’s desire
Hold fast the hand who’s never far
Who’s Spirit comes with Fire

He’s here He’s there He's everywhere
With love and perfect grace
No further than a silent prayer
From all that seek His face
