Separated Poem by Walter C. Edwards

Separated

If you shun me,
I will shun you to,
if we can't move forward,
then I must step back,
looking at the white, the black, the gray,
go forward when I find my way,
and that will be our dividing day,
no longer one, parted,
not willing to stay,
separated, apart from each other,
eternally, no longer, gray, today.
