Separations Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Separations

Separations

You know well
Or I expect you to know
I hate “hate” therefore
How can I tell you: “I hate you”?
It is not me
No
Never
That word is not mine.

But
I am sad
Very angry
Disappointed
And…

I wonder how you could…

Was it because of the worms?
It is wrong, you are wrong, sadly
An earthworm never rebuilds as two
If cut and divided in two
Is this what you read or heard or thought?
The head may recover and build but not tail
Tail dies and disintegrates without worm’s head.

This is what you did,
You cut in the middle
You preached the hate
And that is what I hate.
