Set Me Free Poem by louis rams

Set Me Free

Rating: 5.0

i saw you and i gasped for air
you turned your back, you did not care.

it did not matter that i was like a fish
out of the water,
gasping to be back where it belonged
for i was weak, and you was strong.

is this the way love is meant to be?
then if it is, set me free.

Set me free is like a plea to flee from loves claws. Well themed.

Love makes us feel like when things are not equal, that we are not the one who is in control. The other person always has the power. We DO have the power though, always! Walking away leaves the other person with no energy. DC

there seems to be an underdog and overdog in many relationships. You explained this so well.
