Seven 0 Four Poem by Rik Bertrand

Seven 0 Four

The night was quiet as I walked the trail
Then I saw her running and my face went pale.
She passed me by, and I felt true pleasure,
For she was the true gold of the pirates treasure.

My thoughts kept wandering back to the trail,
And the beautiful woman that looked strong yet frail.
I remembered the time that our paths did cross,
And the tree that was near that had all the moss.

The time was so clear; it was Seven O Four,
This was the time that my heart did truly soar.
My heart was afire, and I felt this was good.
I needed to see her once more if I could,

Seven O four was warped in my mind,
And I knew that this woman, I must find.
As the time came so near, I heard a soft sound,
And along came the maiden, once lost, but now found.

Seven O four has my heart in her hands,
I have fallen and relented to all her demands.
Her blond hair and blue eyes do torture my soul
And I have lost all my sanity and all my control.

Seven O four, Wendy in name,
I have only my thoughts of you to blame.
And all that I think, I have nothing to shame,
For you are Seven O Four, one in the same.
