Shade No Tears Poem by Elizabeth Jacqueline Mpanga

Shade No Tears

Shade no tears for me my soul,
For the lord sayeth be still and know that i am lord
Why then should you cry for me my soul

Weep not oh soul of mine for the lord says he has good plans for me
Plans not to destroy or harm me,
But plans to prosper me

Cry not oh soul of mine and be of good cheer
For the lord says you will not fall nor faint
But that he will lift us and soar with us when we are weary

Why then should you shade tears for me oh my soul
Yes, it hurts
Yes it feel bad right now
But just like the seasons,
This too is but a season
Wait it out and be of good cheer
For after the rain comes the sun

Shade no tears for me oh my soul
God sees and knows my heart
He knows what i desire the most
