Shades Of Evening Poem by Juan Olivarez

Shades Of Evening

Shades of evening everywhere,
Cooling breeze with scents so sweet.
Gone with the heat, all my cares,
The day has finally met defeat.
Shades of evening at my feet.

Shades of evening along the walk,
As the twilight wraps around.
Time to observe and not to talk,
As the shades invade the cooling ground.
Shades of evening, in my home town.

Shades of evening cover me,
As the moon and stars appear.
Leaves falling quietly I can see,
At this time of day so dear.
Shades of evening I see so clear.
