Shadows Of Dispair Poem by Michel Antoine

Shadows Of Dispair

Rating: 4.0

Like an actor who wields his poem among the thorns,
You are forever the one I love.
Like a poet who sings the verses of the heartaches gone by,
You are forever the one I need.
Lonely days and nights in solitude
Shine only their ominous shadows of despair on this enslaved heart of mine.
Rainy days and broken nights
Weep their tears on my forgotten pillow tonight.
Like a songwriter who pleads for your love in sincere harmony,
I am now the one lost in wonderland.
Defeating the defeatless while
Dazzling the dazzless,
I strike a sour chord in your arms this night.
A velvet moon in silent slumber chimes
Its sad melody in my mind.
And the coldness,
Like ocean's spray a mist into the mystical soul of mine.
