Shapes Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

Shapes

I peered into a microscope
To see what I could see.
I saw all these shapes
Peering back at me.

I know that they were alive
For they wiggled all around.
Each one had a special form
But did not make a sound!

In all our cells and atoms,
These remarkable things I see,
Causing me to sigh in wonderment,
For enough of these make me!

The colors of the rainbow,
And then even many more,
The shapes and forms imagined,
Oh Look! There’s even more!
