Sharing Grief Of Brotherhood Poem by Bernedita Rosinha Pinto

Sharing Grief Of Brotherhood

Rating: 5.0

How much you will weep,
I alone know;
how much you will miss him,
I alone know;
how much you will recollect of him,
I alone know;
how much you will try to hold back your tears
in your eyes,
I alone know;
how much you will feel the heartaches so consistently,
I alone know;
how much you will grieve and augment your anguish,
I alone know;
how much you will not want to live more,
I alone know;
how much you will not want to die,
I alone know;
how much you will want to live for others,
I alone know;
how much you will want to care
for those who grieve beside you,
I alone know;
how much you will suffocate in silence,
I alone know;
how much you will want the helplessness to cease,
I alone know;
how much you will challenge your own courage,
I alone know;
how much you will defy your sorrow and pain,
I alone know;
how much you will wish it was all not true,
I alone know;
how much you will want tomorrow
to be the same as yesterday
when everyone was so happy and united,
I alone know;
how much you will want to forget
the bitter side of life in grief,
I alone know;
how much you will want him to be by your side,
I alone know;
how much you will want to know how I can perceive
the depth of your agony
I alone know;
how much you will withstand and conceal your sadness,
I alone know;
how much will you will pray and envisage eternity,
I alone know;
how much you will value and cherish brotherhood,
I alone know
as I have also lost my brother and his absence was not easy
for me to accept or surmise;
how much you will question God for this sorrow in your heart,
I alone know.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
With this Poem, Iwish to express my sympathies to my good friend who has lost his brother today and I know that he will feel the same depth of pain that I felt when I lost my own brother. Grief is the only wound that never heals, even with time.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Kumarmani Mahakul 26 September 2020

This poem is a great condolence to your grieved friend who has lost his brother as you. The inscription you made is so touching and impressive. May their souls rest in peace. Don' t feel pain. Soul is immortal. Oneday we souls will leave our bodies. A remarkable poem on sympathy is amazingly shared. Five stars.
