She - Poem by Alawoki O. Akeem

She looks unkempt,
Her lineal and lingerie are replica of dirt
Her mates are fanciful,
She refused to be beautiful
Although her luggage is replete of designer wears,
She gloms onto ludicrous wears

Though she is fifty-one, she fails to grow
She is vulnerable to scorns; she slows
She looks like an imbecile
She is a bit ill
She is always famish
Her smooth skin is with blemish

She has bulging eyes
Her kinsmen’s lips are with lip-gloss of lies
They said she is chubby,
They said eating is her hobby,
They said she is a giant,
They said she is significant

She ought to have been better
Her experiences shouldn’t have been this bitter!
She is hitherto affable,
She is gentle
She’d certainly make this journey
Because she is my country
