I’ll just imagine I’m kissing
The very lips I’m missing
Since she left, I’ve been hissing
Without her, my life is not pleasing.

I’ll pretend we’re here together
In my heart’s war, she’s a lone soldier
Where’s my angel, we vowed forever
Her absence is creating pains in my bladder.

I’ll just think she’s out on a break
If she’s not back, I’ll drown in a lake
She’s my favourite, my plate of cake
I won’t think the worst, lest my heart should break.

I’ll just be patient, I’ll sit and wait
I’ve loved her too much, to begin to hate
She’s walked out of my life, but I won’t lock the gate
Because I know she’ll be back, my darling Kate.
