She Profusely Bled And Crumbled. And Loudly The Clouds Thundered Poem by Lajpat Chawla

She Profusely Bled And Crumbled. And Loudly The Clouds Thundered

He was her cousin,
She took him as her brother.
She can not forget the day,
When the city was flooded,
With heavy rains,
Accompanied by thunder.
She was alone at home that day,
Menstruating with pains.
Suddenly she heard the door bell,
She opened the door,
Wet and drunk there stood,
Her cousin brother.,
His shirt red with lipstick stains
She asked him to go, he would not.
On the gun point, she surrendered,
The relationships broke like
A glass bottle
She profusely bled and crumbled.
The Goddess in the temple nearby
Wept silently.
It rained with higher force
And loudly the clouds thundered..
