She Recollected Poem by Ariel Miles

She Recollected

She recollected in heavy darkness
found a page all white
with pain
she let her pen bleed
Words dissolved in night
utter darkness
Bitter evil
But she will never admit
She's on the border line
of distance and time
Just North of death
Time rewinds
she finds herself in darkness
yet again
She feels she's suffering insanity
she can't take humanity
A bright light...
Not yet to be found
She feels around
She looks for an answer
Shuns self reliance
Her pride is...
Well she has too much
and she's fed up
She finds a sick and twisted answer
The dark grows darker
and she stands up
Her hell was heaven sent
she felt
She fell in darkness
A puddle of nothing
Yet she denies
the dark was light
and in time she could've been something
If only she held on tight
