She's Always A Pirate Poem by Jeffrey Stultz

She's Always A Pirate

Rating: 5.0

She can kill with a sword,
Shoot between your eyes
She can take all your treasure
With well crafted lies,
She’ll pretend to conceal
what she wants you to see,
Yeah she wears a disguise
But she’s always a pirate to me.

When she’s counting her coin
There’s a gleam in her eye,
You can reach for the stack,
But she might run you through
She’ll take what you give her,
And then two or three,
Yeah she’s cheating at cards
But she’s always a pirate to me.

Chorus
Oh, she takes care of her crew
They will get their fair share
Maybe not in this life,
Oh and she never gives up
Never runs from a fight,
With the odds on her side.

Her beauty’s a weapon
You’ve got no defense,
She’s stealing your heart
While she’s cutting your purse,
You’ll believe every lie
And by utterly fooled,
Blame it all on your pride,
Cause she’s always a pirate to me
Chorus

She drinks like a sailor
And swears like one too,
Except when she’s charming
And the target is you,
She’s often convicted
But keeps slipping the noose,
And the last thing we knew
She was still on the loose
But she’s always a pirate to me.
Chorus
