She's The One Poem by Brandon Park

She's The One

I wake up
In the corner of the room
On the floor
Curled up in a ball

I look down at the ground
To see a puddle of blood
Sweat
And tears

I wonder
What happened the night before?
Then I glance across the room at the computer screen
And remember exactly what happened.

She told me she was leaving me
For someone else
That she fell for him
And she loved him more than me

I started to cry
I missed her
I couldn't live without her
She meant the world to me

I crawl over to the window
Tears in my eyes
I look outside
And I see something in the fog

It's her
She comes closer to the window
Tears in her eyes
And a slight smile on her face

Turns out
He didn't really love her
He just wanted to get her into bed
But she refused

She came back to me
Because she realized
She really loved me
And couldn't live without me
