She Shines Poem by Elizabeth Muller

She Shines

The sun it shines
Her rays fill the sky
So brightly
You can see everything so clearly

Her rays are filled
Nourishing plants, feeding
happiness to the humans

Night time comes
quickly though
Hiding her beautiful face
Her rays grow weaker
Through her exit, she appears
every colour of beauty among
the earth

But
Even at night her job doesn't end
She works hard at giving light
to a world of darkness

Her rays reflect off the moon
and though you can not see her
You are reminded,
reassured
She will be back
Again

Where her rays will
once more
shine brightly among
you
