She Was Gone Poem by sandra geisell

She Was Gone

some say she wished to hard
some say she wished to long
but all i know is she was gone
.she wished to be free from
responsibility.she pityed grass
for planted it shall stay.
she envied smoke making air
its only home.she wished to soar
high above the earth to fly like a bird
cut loose from these puppet
strings called life. some witnesses
say it was a miricle that day
that she looked up at the sky with
a longing eye spread her arms
out wide and then she was gone
, free from her puppet strings
gone forever never to return
but i say she was finally able to
soar cut loose for ever more
