She Was Here Poem by Amy Stuart

She Was Here

I could feel her presence
It was known
She's thine sworn enemy
But in my dreams....
In my dreams
We could be together
And never would a conflict arise
No other persons or forces
We talk for hours on the outside
But nothing more
Tonight I could feel her
Her touch and smell
She looked at me with regret
Regret for meeting me,
For seeing me,
And above all,
Knowing me better than anyone.
Though we are enemies
We're really not.
And I know this now
For tonight,
This oh so stormy night,
She was here...
