She Was Like A Flower, But She Blossomed In The Desert. Poem by Alexander Orisafele

She Was Like A Flower, But She Blossomed In The Desert.

She smiled so bright, free spirit roaming

You could see the moonshine through her Stary eyes,

Longing for more,

Nothing was ever enough.

Her blessing was her curse,

From roaming the street at night, watching the night sky

To roaming to find a little night high.

Those little pills gave her the widest smile, the wildest heart

The night's fun turned into misery

From a nocturnal to a creeper

I watched her smile crumble,

Moonshine eyes turned to darkness.

She was like a flower,
But she blossomed in the desert.
